Karma … it will get you every time (NHL edition)
April 11, 2010
If you follow hockey, you’ll know that Matt Cooke (Penguins) dealt Marc Savard (Bruins) a season-ending cheap shot last month, the latest in a series of dirty hits that have marked Cooke’s otherwise meaningless career in the NHL. As Don Cherry pointed out, Cooke is a “gutless, backstabbing little fu[cker]“. Last night, Cooke attempted to pick a fight with the wrong guy – Evander Kane of the Thrashers. The 18 year old shows him karma in action.
while I hate to see hockey matches turn into fights, Cooke deserves a shot back for his jackassery.
@DLC: Agreed, and I’m glad that this payback took place during a fair fight (unlike Bertuzzi’s blindside payback punch to the back of Moore’s head).
But damn I wish the NHL would just get rid of fighting already.
(Go Vancouver!)
Apparently he is named after Evander Holyfield.
We need a “Why can’t we all get along,” Canadian Edition. All three, Matt, Marc and Evander are from Canada, and they seem to have carried their junior high rivalry over to the NHL
