Irish pareidolia

This just in from Ireland. Nearly 2,000 people want to prevent the removal of a tree stump (above) which they believe depicts an image of the Blessed Virgin. Words of wisdom from the local parish priest: “There’s nothing there . . . it’s just a tree . . . you can’t worship a tree.” Indeed.
Mary needs to find some more creative ways to show herself. Even Darwin has done better than this: http://www.sciencepunk.com/v5/gallery/treedarwin.jpg
Ya know, that actually does look alot like the blessed virgin…or a bowling pin.
…on second thought, naw. Bowling pins don’t wear rosary.
. . . you can’t worship a tree.
Why not? I think most trees are more worthy of worship than most gods.
Ah! It’s back to the Celtic roots of worshipping trees!
